WASHINGTON STATE [0-1, 0-0 Pac-12] @ USC [1-0, 0-0 Pac-12] -- First conference matchup of season sends Cougars southward for LA Coliseum matchup against Trojans.   USC turned back Hawaii in season opener while WSU battled @ Auburn before falling by 7 points, 31-24.  Game is first of three straight @ home for USC [Boston College, Utah to follow].   Trojans have won 15 consecutive home openers.  Trojans currently 10-6 at Coliseum against Pac-12 opposition, but once sported 33-1 advantage.  Trojans will again look at 2 QBs as starter, MAX WITTEK & CODY KESSLER; duo each saw action in season opener.   USC's top offensive weapon remains WR MARQISE LEE [118-1,721-14 TD in '12].   Five of Trojans' top six tacklers from last season return.   Cougars' QB from year ago, Jeff Tuel, now playing for NFL Buffalo Bills.   WSU returns five receivers who each raked in 30 or more catches last year, led by BRETT BARTOLONE's 53.   Coach MIKE LEACH is in 2nd season with Cougars; WSU looking to end decade-long bowl drought [last appearance:  2003 Holiday Bowl, win over Texas 28-20].   Leach is in 12th season overall, having spent 2000-09 @ Texas Tech.   He's 87-52 as HC.   USC returned to postseason play last year with loss at Sun Bowl.   Trojans in pursuit of 50th bowl appearance all-time this year.   The Series:   70th meeting, with USC winning 57 [one win vacated], Washington State 8 and 4 ties.   Trojans have won last 8 matchups.   Last Meeting:   2010, USC 50, Washington State 16 @ Pullman, WA.   Last Washington State win:  2002, Washington State 30, USC 27 [OT].  Last Washington State win @ LA Coliseum:  2000, Washington State 33, USC 27.   Kickoff:   7:30 p.m. [PDT]/10:30 p.m. EDT].   TV:   FoxSports1.
