The match-up has been made official: we will see the Washington Huskies (8-4) take on the BYU Cougars (8-4) in this year's Fight Hunger Bowl! To celebrate, we have compiled a few highlights from each team's amazing year. Take a peek and see what you could expect from this year's game...
Washington does bring with it a talented defense that can sneak up on BYU's offense. Led by Princeton Fuimaono and Shaq Thompson, 76 and 70 tackles respectively, the Huskies defense has generated 221 yards off of 15 interceptions alone with this season. How did they do it? With athleticism in the backfield.
Of course we cannot go on further without a mention of Washington's largest threat on either side of the ball: Bishop Sankey. BYU will need to stay on their toes as Sankey has the ability to generate a lot of positive yardage each game. His speed and athletic ability have been tough for teams to stop as we see here.
BYU has a defensive weapon that has been a huge this season. Three words: "Kyle Van Noy." He has been busy this season on all aspect of defense: 63 tackles, two interceptions, and four sacks. Besides the physical games, he uses his awareness to gets in the right place at the right time.
